Marble
Inspiration: When my parents built the last home they would live in there was one thing my mother wanted - marble counters in the kitchen for baking and candy making. She would have been happy with a marble slab area. I never understood, in all their extravagance, why my father drew his line there. She never got the counter or the slab. In making this project I wanted to include bit of the things i knew she longed for. Partly for her in memory and partly as a reminder for me how little the things we feel we want so much really mean in the long run.
