ariella’s chicken
This recipe is all “ish.” Sometimes I add sweet onion and sometimes I don’t. Go by feel and make it your own… as Ariella would have loved.
Ingredients
Jar (largeish) of Duck Sauce
A good bit of Mustard
Dollop of Honey
About 1/2 of a lemon juiced
Splash of white wine
A lot of sweet potatos / Some white potatos
Whole chicken cut into pieces (or add some more of some parts as you like to expand the portions)
Assembly
Prehest the oven to 450 F
Put the chicken in a large baking pot / dutch oven / pan that can be covered
Peel the potatos, cut into chunks, put them in the pot around the chicken
Mix all the wet ingredients together and pour over the chicken and potatos
Cover and cook for about 1.5 hours
Uncover and brown for 10-15 mintues under the brioler to get the crispy
To Serve
Serve when ready but honestly it is almost better left over and fantastic around 2:00 am directly out of the fridge with a fork!!!
