All the remnants collected are utilitarian textiles of the home, mainly bed linens and dish towels. The focus on the body alludes to the role and condition of women, the ‘useful’ function as a parent or a member of the community, which like cloths, fray and fragment over time.
I found solace in resurrecting objects from the past.
Personal Objects
I collect objects that were the point of attachment for another and furnish them, sometimes literally. In creating these worlds, the objects are no longer about the people they belonged to. Rather they become shared experiences.

Issues such as limited mobility, isolation, human usefulness, and reproductive rights are highlighted with altered objects. Primary use, for example with the glass cane, is replaced with recognition of the emotional weight of needing to use a cane.
