This sweet little old oil painting lived with my sister for all of her memory. Six decades later her cat stepped on it pushing through the delicate aging canvas. She couldn't thow it out and gave it to me to try to fix it. As I spent time with it I thought about our relationship, sisters but also (and more importantly) friends; perhaps best friends even. And that took work. My sister creates joy, breathes life into the world, and has endless bounds of creativity only stifled by her. I have looked up to her for so long, I decided to recreate her creative space. Included is fabric from a dress she made me over 30 years ago. In one way or another she has always taken care of me. This is me telling her (and the world), I see you.
